This was but my 2d Christie read and much better than the starting time. (And And then There Were None). I will say that I had to play shut attention to how the characters on the train were related to the Armstrong family--there were 12 of them and sometimes I was a bit confused. This volume did non really excite me nor did it turn me off from possibly another Christie at some time in the future.

It was a great book! I was sucked right in and could encounter how people are continuing to read this after all these years. What fabricated information technology a 4 star instead of the 5 was all the stereotypes that were mentioned and reinforced throughout the volume.

I read this for the showtime time many years ago and thought it would be interesting to read it once again even though I know the solution to the mystery - information technology was impossible to forget. I enjoyed it just as much, maybe even more because I was able to get an idea of how Christie'southward ideas developed. Likewise, I've seen David Suchet's documentary almost the Orient Express which helped visualize it better and I noticed the pocket-size, seemingly inconsequential details, like the watch hook, which actually does exist, and which the victim did not use. Because this was written in 1934 information technology shows considerably more talent, knowledge and fashion than others of the aforementioned vintage. In that location is no doubt Ms Christie deserves the full five stars.

Hercule Poirot, a Belgian detective, is called back home from a vacation, so he makes arrangements to take the Orient Express. During the trip, an American homo is brutally murdered. Poirot takes the case. This was my first introduction to Hercule Poirot and I liked him. The investigation was played out right earlier my optics, only he was always manner ahead of me. He gathered all the clues there were to gather, then he didn't rely just on the facts alone. He developed reasonable guesses and tested those guesses out on the suspects. Eventually, he arrived at not but one answer, but 2. (4.25/five)Originally posted on: Thoughts of Joy

Title: Murder on the Orient Limited (A Hercule Poirot Mystery)Author: Agatha Christie Pages: 288Year: 2011Publisher: William Morrow PaperbackMy rating 5 out of v stars.I never read the book until I learned that a moving-picture show was coming out subsequently this yr based on the novel. There was a motion-picture show released with many well-known actors and actresses in 1974. Since some friends wouldn't tell me how the picture ended, I decided to read the book then watch the older version of the movie. I was very glad that the catastrophe was non revealed to me. Agatha Christie wrote an infrequent tale that has a few ruby-red herrings, making the process of figuring out who done the deed challenging! What an exceptional and talented author she was to write a compelling mystery, withal never revealing likewise much so that the ending came as a complete surprise! The merely hard office for me in reading the book were the minor phrases written in French that I didn't know, which made it a little harder to figure out what was happening in a of the couple scenes. All I tin encourage readers to practice is read the book, enjoy the older version before seeing the new version in theatres later in 2017! You don't desire to miss one fantastic well-written mystery past an exceptional author!
